When I embarked this journey of becoming a writer, I made a commitment—to write what matters. The books, the blog posts, the other projects still bopping around inside me—they each begin with a deep search for something important and real. Then, I take that something and build a story around it.

Some days the words flow quickly. Other days, writing feels like staring up into a dark sky hoping to see a shooting star that just isn’t there. But to me, the time spent watching and waiting and especially writing is always worth it.

Eventually, a shooting star appears. Eventually, I finish the writing. And when I do, I’ll have created something that matters—and something I can share. Because while stars and stories matter a whole lot, what matters even more is sharing those stars and those stories with the people you love.
